Reborn of the black ashes,
A voice sings in the dark:
“Come hither.”
Sweet is the voice,
And great are its promises.
But within it truly is darkness.
Under the lie
Lies the truth.
It wants to give nothing,
Yet take all.
I wrote this.
But don't remember doing so.

very moving and very poignant. I like how u said all u needed to say while still keeping it short enough to allow the reader to interpret what they will from it... great job, this is what reading poetry is supposed to be like

Nice, sorry I was slow to comment.

There's really not much to say about it, 'cept it's good.

Da.

Holy shit, this reminds me of this manga that I've been reading, called 'Diabolo.' It's only three volumes long but AGH I'M OBSESSED. And this sounds so much like it, it just. Makes my happiness level rise. 8D

Short, sweet and to the point. Definitive ring of truth to it.

A new deviation! Gasp! And....further gasp, because while reading this, I felt this personal impact -which is between separate parties and not due for present discussion- especially with the "It wants to give nothing, yet take all" bit. ...Am quite done now. I hope you remember about more poems you forgot about so you can satiate your addicts.
